Review of NORTEC 2026: Production in transition

State-of-the-art production, but in the hectic everyday routine, it’s easy to lose track of things.

Digital production planning with PPSimple comes at just the right time.

NORTEC is behind us

It was unusually cold in Hamburg—at least outside. Inside the halls, however, it was pleasantly warm.

This was our first time participating in the trade fair for production in northern Germany. We were therefore very excited to see what awaited us. In conclusion, we can say that it was a successful few days with many good discussions.

State-of-the-art production characterizes small and medium-sized enterprises

One thing quickly became clear: Production in Germany is impressively modern. Machines, systems, and processes are state-of-the-art. And yet, many people experience something different in their everyday lives. The organization of daily work often lags behind. Planning is done with paper and Excel lists. As soon as orders are postponed or deadlines become tighter, it becomes difficult to keep track of everything.

This is exactly where PPSimple comes in. At our booth, we demonstrated how digital production planning can work without turning everything upside down:

  • Planning goes digital, processes remain unchanged
  • Information is always up to date, from the planner to the machine
  • The introduction can be carried out directly, without an IT project

Digital, because it makes sense

Our slogan, “Everything like in Excel—only without paper”, often opened doors for us. Many visitors immediately understood what it was all about—and why this pragmatic approach makes everyday work noticeably easier.

We particularly remember the openness of the discussions, the honest exchange about real problems in everyday production, and the direct feedback.

It’s a clear sign to us that PPSimple meets a real need.

If you were unable to attend NORTEC, we would be pleased to make up for it. We will demonstrate PPSimple to you personally—online or at your location.
